Brian and Kristy > This would be a bird.
Brian and Kristy > This is me waiting to get back on the ferry at Ellis Island to go back to Manhatten. Notice the bird flying in the picture. Hope it doesn't land on me.
Brian and Kristy > At this time we still thought we could get back on the ferry and go over to Stanton Island to see the statue of liberty up close. We didn't realize that we just got off the last boat to the island for the day. So we got to see Ellis Island instead of Stanton Island.
Brian and Kristy > Another view of Manhattan from the ferry.
Brian and Kristy > Heading back to Manhattan.
Brian and Kristy > We are waiting on the ferry to take us to the Statue of Liberty. The big circle looking building is called Castle Clinton which was originally built as a fort to defend New York City from British forces in the War of 1812, but never saw action in that or any war. Today it is used to purchase tickets to see the Statue of Liberty.
Brian and Kristy > Still waiting on the ferry...Battery Park is in the front with some buildings in the back.
