New York Trip - Day 5 (Thursday, Oct. 18) : Day 5 was the longest day of the vacation. We started bright and early by catching the 9:00 train to New York. We arrived at Penn Station around 10 and headed right over to the Jacob Javits Convention Center for the Photo Show. While Jerry and Brian stayed at the Photo show, Susan and I walked to Times Square and did some shopping and had lunch. We then met back up with the guys and bought some tickets for the Phantom of the Opera Broadway show for that night. We then took the subway to Brooklyn and took some night pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge. We went back to Times Square to watch our show. We ended the night by taking the 11:30 train back to our hotel.

New York Trip - Day 4 (Wednesday, Oct. 17) : We started Day 4 by going to Canal Street in China Town. This place is a shoppers dream. Brian and Jerry fell in love with the watches, while Susan and I found some excellent deals on new purses. I think this may have been the first time that Brian didn't get bored shopping with me outside of Costco. We then took the subway to Times Square which isn't really a square at all. It's more like a meca of lights and shops. We ate dinner at the Olive Garden in Times Square which of course means it was over priced but it was very good.

New York Trip - Day 3 (Tuesday, Oct. 16) : On the morning of day 3 we got up around 8:30 am and took the 10:22 am train from Morristown to Penn Station in New York. The first thing we did when we arrived in New York was to see the World Trade Center site which was a closed construction site but we were able to get a few pictures. We then went to the Trinity Church, and walked around the cemetery which had some gravestones dated back to the 1700's. After that we walked to Battary Park to purchase the Statue of Liberty ferry tickets for the 3:45 ferry. We got on the ferry and got off at Elise Island, we didn’t realize that was the last stop of the day, so we didn’t get to go to Stanton Island. We then walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and took the subway from Brooklyn back to Penn Station.
